Corrugated machine operator

Role & Responsibilities

We are urgently hiring an experienced Operator cum Leadman for a small corrugated box manufacturing plant in Luanda, Angola.

The candidate will be responsible for operating and coordinating the following machines:

• 2-Ply Corrugation Machine
• Manual Sheet Cutting Machine
• Manual Gum Pasting Machine
• Die Cutting Machine
• Stitching Machine
• Single-Color Printing Machine

Other responsibilities include:

• Machine setting, operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Handling both machine and manual production activities.
• Ensuring required box quality and minimizing material wastage.
• Stock counting of finished boxes and paper reels.
• Stock counting and monitoring of consumables.
• Supervising and handling a team of 4 to 5 workers.
• Coordinating day-to-day production activities in the box plant.
• Maintaining machines, workplace cleanliness and basic production records.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in a corrugation / corrugated box manufacturing plant.
• Hands-on experience operating multiple corrugated box-making machines.
• Experience with 2-ply corrugation, sheet cutting, gum pasting, die cutting, stitching and single-color printing will be preferred.
• Candidates experienced in small or semi-automatic corrugated box plants are strongly preferred.
• Able to independently operate machines and supervise 45 workers.
• Knowledge of basic machine setting, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of stock counting of paper reels, finished boxes and consumables.
• ITI / Diploma preferred; strong practical experience will also be considered.
• Willing to relocate to Luanda, Angola and join urgently.
