Cosmetology Instructor

Job Summary

Duties

• Deliver engaging lessons on cosmetology topics such as skincare, hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and facial treatments
• Supervise and mentor students during practical applications to ensure safety and skill development
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry best practices
• Conduct classroom demonstrations on techniques like massage therapy, trigger point therapy, dermabrasion, and aesthetic laser treatments
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their technical proficiency and confidence
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to hands-on learning
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into teaching modules

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in cosmetology, skincare, hair styling, or related fields
• Demonstrated classroom or training experience in adult education or vocational training settings
• Hands-on experience with salon services including hair coloring, barbering, facials, makeup application, nail care, and body waxing
• Knowledge of anatomy relevant to aesthetic treatments and massage therapy practices
• Experience mentoring or supervising students or apprentices in a professional setting
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development for cosmetology programs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students toward professional success
