Cost Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing company in Nogales, Sonora.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead accounting processes while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other key areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Cost Accounting activities and processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, margins, and cost variances.
• Perform and review standard cost and actual cost analysis.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances.
• Support and participate in the month-end closing process.
• Prepare financial and management reports related to manufacturing costs.
• Maintain and analyze standard costs, BOMs, and product costing structures.
• Monitor inventory valuation and support inventory control processes.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and company procedures.
• Present financial and cost information to management and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Cost Accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing costs.
• Experience with month-end closing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish – written and verbal communication required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both local and international teams.

Sueldo: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 al día
