Cost Control Engineer - Electrical/Power

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare project cost reports, budget forecasts and cost performance updates.
• Track actual expenditure, procurement commitments and subcontractor costs.
• Forecast project costs to completion and highlight potential budget overruns.
• Analyse cost deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor material, equipment and labour costs for electrical and power substation projects.
• Review project variations, change orders and their financial impact.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance and site teams to ensure effective cost control.
• Maintain accurate cost records, budget trackers and supporting documentation.
• Support management in financial planning and decision making to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control within electrical contracting, power or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in power substation projects, preferably 132 kV or higher, will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience tracking procurement costs, material commitments, subcontractor costs and project variations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with project, procurement and finance teams.
