COST CONTROL ENGINEER | DUBAI, UAE

Brain Bytes Global Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented *Cost Control Engineer* on behalf of a reputed contracting company in Dubai, UAE.

We are looking for a professional with strong expertise in construction cost management, budget monitoring, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to support project profitability and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets and cost plans.

• Prepare cost reports, budget forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses.

• Track project expenditures, commitments, variations, and potential cost overruns.

• Analyse actual costs against planned budgets and recommend corrective actions.

• Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, procurement, finance, and site teams.

• Review subcontractor costs, purchase orders, material costs, and project expenditures.

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial reports.

• Monitor variations, claims, and changes in project scope and assess their cost implications.

• Maintain accurate cost records and support management in cost-related decision-making.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction cost control or project cost management.

• Experience in building construction, residential, high-rise, or commercial projects.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and construction cost management tools.

• Good understanding of BOQs, variations, subcontractor payments, procurement costs, and project budgets.

• Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and coordination skills.

• UAE construction experience is preferred.
