Cost Control Supervisor

About the role

PT. Origa Mulia FRP is seeking a Cost Control Supervisor to join our accounting team in Tangerang, Banten. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in managing and monitoring all cost-related activities across the organisation. As Cost Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing cost analysis, budget management, and financial forecasting to ensure the company maintains profitability and operational efficiency. This position reports directly to senior finance management and is integral to supporting strategic financial decision-making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse actual costs against budgeted costs, identifying variances and investigating root causes
• Prepare detailed cost analysis reports and cost control summaries for management review and decision-making
• Develop and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Supervise and coordinate the work of cost accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Conduct regular audits of cost records and expenditures to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support budget preparation and forecasting activities by providing historical cost data and trend analysis
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Liaise with department heads and operational teams to gather cost information and clarify cost-related issues
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all cost transactions and maintain supporting documentation
• Prepare cost allocation schedules and support management with ad-hoc cost analysis as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in cost accounting, cost control, or related accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, methods, and practices
• Demonstrated experience with cost analysis, variance analysis, and budget management
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and pivot tables
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively, with strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards and regulations is advantageous
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time-management capabilities
