Cost Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Cost Controller to oversee project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for EPC projects. The role involves monitoring project costs, preparing monthly cost reports, analyzing variances, and supporting accurate project financial performance and cash flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly project cost reports, including Budget, Committed Cost, Actual Cost, Forecast at Completion (FAC), and Project Cash Flow.
• Monitor project cost performance, analyze variances, and identify potential cost risks or overruns.
• Review and verify project cost transactions to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly invoices and support project billing activities.
• Maintain accurate project cost records, documentation, and financial data.
• Assist in project forecasting, budgeting, and cost control processes.
• Prepare project close-out reports and final cost reconciliations upon project completion.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cost Control, Project Cost Management, Project Finance, or related functions.
• Experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Energy, Construction, or Industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query and Power Pivot is an advantage.
• Good understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and cash flow management.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a project-driven environment.
