Cost Controller

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control food, beverage and operating costs.
• Check daily food and beverage sales against consumption and costs.
• Verify purchasing, receiving and issuing of food and beverage items.
• Check invoices, purchase orders, receiving records and stock movements for accuracy.
• Conduct and monitor monthly stock / inventory counts.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Calculate and monitor food cost and beverage cost percentages.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cost reports for management.
• Monitor wastage, spoilage, complimentary items, staff meals and breakages.
• Review menu costing and selling prices to ensure appropriate profit margins.
• Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, Stores, Kitchen and F&B Operations.
• Monitor actual expenses against budget and forecast.
• Identify unusual cost variances and report findings to management.
• Maintain accurate records in the POS / inventory / accounting system.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal financial controls.
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Support internal and external audit requirements when necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Experience in hotel/F&B cost control is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of inventory and stock control.
• Good Excel and numerical skills.
• Familiarity with POS, inventory or accounting systems.
• Good attention to detail and analytical skills.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
