Cost Controller

Cost Controller is responsible for the accounting of the Food and Beverage costs and other expenses and ensures that proper internal controls are in place as these costs directly relates to the hotel’s profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitors food, beverage, and operational costs through audits, cost analyses, and variance reporting to ensure compliance with hotel policies and budget targets.
• Oversees inventory management, stock counts, and storeroom controls to safeguard assets, minimize wastage, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Reviews purchasing, receiving, and supplier activities to ensure the procurement of quality products at the most competitive prices and in accordance with established procedures.
• Collaborates with operational departments to develop recipe costing, enforce portion controls, and implement cost-saving initiatives that enhance profitability.
• Prepares and submits timely cost control, financial, inventory, and market comparison reports while ensuring compliance with HACCP standards and hotel requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent is an advantage
• At least 4–5 years of experience in cost control and with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role within a luxury hotel, resort, or international hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, costing, and inventory systems
• Proficiency in hotel accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard environment with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and service excellence
