GGC is delivering some of Australia's most significant renewable energy and power infrastructure projects. With a growing pipeline of substation, wind, BESS, overhead line and reticulation projects, we're looking for an experienced Cost Controller to support us through the next stage of growth.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, the Cost Controller will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust cost control processes that provide financial transparency, accurate forecasting, and meaningful project performance insights across both pre-contract and project delivery phases. Working closely with stakeholders across Pre-Contracts, Engineering & Design, Project Delivery, Field Services and Finance, you will support informed decision-making and drive strong commercial outcomes through:

• Budget development, cost planning and forecasting
• Project cost monitoring and financial performance analysis
• Cost reporting and stakeholder communication
• Schedule and cost integration
• Cost variance identification and corrective action tracking
• Risk assessment and cost mitigation strategies
• Cost control governance, systems and reporting frameworks
• End-of-month financial reporting activities Cross-functional collaboration with project and operational teams

ABOUT YOU

You are a commercially minded professional who thrives in a project environment and enjoys turning complex financial information into actionable insights.

You'll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in project cost management within energy, utilities, electrical, high-voltage, substation, BESS or large-scale infrastructure environments
• Proven experience working on Design & Construct projects
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and reporting capabilities
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Exposure to regulated infrastructure environments, utilities, network operators or government clients (highly regarded)
