Cost Controller

Role Description

The Cost Controller role at MYA Restaurant & Lounge is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo . The role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing food, beverage, and operational costs to ensure alignment with budget and profitability targets. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing purchase orders and supplier invoices, verifying cost allocations, preparing cost and variance reports, and reconciling inventory records. The Cost Controller will collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to implement cost-saving initiatives, maintain accurate cost databases, and support forecasting and financial planning. The role also involves regular reporting to management on cost performance and recommendations for improving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong cost-focused expertise, including Cost Control and Cost Management skills.
• Solid financial foundation with practical experience in Cost Accounting and Finance.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial/ERP software for cost tracking and reporting.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with large data sets.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, or F&B operations .
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
