What they need
We are looking for a hands-on Production Controller whose core strength is calculation. You will own the numbers behind production: product costs, machine hour rates, variances and investment cases. You will be the key link between the shop floor and management, turning accurate calculations into decisions.
Your Responsibilities
Calculation and costing (core of the role)
- Build, maintain and optimize product calculations: standard costs, cost roll-ups, machine hour rates and overhead allocation.
- Run pre- and post-calculations and explain deviations by price, volume, efficiency and yield.
- Calculate and value scrap, idle time and process waste, and translate findings into concrete savings measures.
- Support production planning with capacity and resource calculations (CRP, MRP) and OEE-based utilization analysis.
Production finance and controlling
- Act as the central contact for the Production Manager and management on all controlling topics.
- Analyze production performance, profitability and cost structures to create transparency.
- Contribute to monthly and annual closings, budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare business cases for machine investments and efficiency projects (payback, NPV, ROI).
- Further develop the controlling toolkit and reporting, including Power BI dashboards.
What You Bring
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent hands-on qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Production, Plant or Product Cost Controller in an industrial or manufacturing company.
- Proven ownership of product costing: you have built standard costs and machine hour rates yourself, not just used them.
- Strong analytical skills and a precise, solution-oriented way of working.
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, Power Query, pivots) and ERP experience, ideally SAP CO/PC; Power BI is a plus.
- Very good English (B2 or above); German is an advantage.
- Team spirit, initiative and a genuine hands-on mentality.
