Cost Control – Job Responsibilities

1. **Recipe Management**

* Prepare and maintain accurate product recipes according to approved standards.

* Ensure that all ingredients, quantities, units of measurement, and yields are correctly recorded.

* Update recipes whenever there are changes in products, ingredients, or specifications.

2. **Theoretical Cost Calculation**

* Calculate the **Theoretical Cost** of each product based on the approved recipe and current material costs.

* Ensure that product costs are accurately reflected in the ERP/Production Management System.

3. **Production & Cost Coordination**

* Coordinate with the Production Department to ensure that actual production follows the approved recipes and standards.

* Monitor raw material consumption against standard/theoretical consumption.

* Coordinate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with approved technical and quality standards.

4. **Actual Cost Monitoring**

* Monitor and calculate the **Actual Cost** of products based on actual material consumption and production data.

* Ensure that all relevant production and material consumption data are accurately recorded in the ERP system.

5. **Theoretical Cost vs. Actual Cost Analysis**

* Prepare monthly reports comparing **Theoretical Cost vs. Actual Cost**.

* Identify and analyze cost variances and investigate the reasons behind significant deviations.

* Analyze variances related to material consumption, waste, yield, prices, and production efficiency.

6. **Waste & Loss Control**

* Monitor production losses, waste, and abnormal consumption.

* Identify areas of excessive consumption or operational inefficiencies.

* Coordinate with relevant departments to take corrective actions.

7. **Monthly Cost Closing & Reporting**

* Prepare monthly cost closing reports covering:

* Theoretical Cost

* Actual Cost

* Cost Variances

* Waste and Losses

* Production Efficiency

* Present significant variances and findings to management.

8. **ERP & Data Management**

* Enter and maintain recipes, costs, production data, and related information in the ERP/Production Management System.

* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost-related data and reports.
