Position: Cost Controller – QS / Finance Background

Island Tower Electromechanical Works LLC is looking for an experienced Cost Controller with a background in Quantity Surveying or Finance to monitor and control project costs across our construction and electromechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and cost forecasts.
• Track material, manpower, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
• Prepare regular cost reports and variance analysis for management.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Coordinate with QS, Procurement, Finance, Project, and Site teams.
• Review purchase orders, invoices, subcontractor payments, and cost commitments.
• Monitor BOQ quantities, variations, claims, and additional works.
• Assist QS and project teams with cost estimation, rate analysis, and commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs and commitments.
• Identify cost overruns and provide timely reports to management.
• Support monthly closing and project cost reconciliation.
• Ensure proper cost-control procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in construction, MEP, infrastructure, district cooling, chilled water pipeline, or similar projects.
• Candidates with either QS or Finance/Cost Control background are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of project cost control, budgeting, and reporting.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred. Location: Dubai, UAE
