Are you an experienced Cost Engineer, Calculator, or Work Planner with a strong technical background? Do you enjoy working with technical specifications, calculating project costs, and finding cost-effective solutions? Then this could be your next opportunity in the Netherlands.

As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost calculations and quotations for technical installation projects. You will work closely with project leaders, contract managers, technicians, and external subcontractors to develop reliable and competitive project budgets.

What you'll be doing

• Analyze technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, calculations, and quotations
• Calculate required materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Work closely with project leaders, contract managers, technicians, and suppliers
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative technical solutions
• Assess project risks and incorporate these into cost calculations
• Use lessons learned from previous projects to improve future estimates
• Support pre-engineering and tender activities
• Provide cost-related input to project teams and support decision-making
• Ensure calculations are accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with project requirements

What you bring

• Completed National Diploma/Bacholers Degree qualification
• Experience as a Cost Engineer, Calculator, Work Planner, or similar technical role
• Experience working within a technical environment, such as industrial installations, hospitals, commercial buildings, offices, or data centres
• Experience independently preparing budgets, quotations, and cost calculations
• Strong understanding of rates, norms, materials, labour costs, and project finances
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Accurate and detail-oriented approach
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different stakeholders
• Willingness to continue developing your technical and professional knowledge
• Good command of English; Afrikaans is a big advantage (as it's a Dutch company)

What we offer

• 2-year contract (40 hours/week)
• Gross salary: €3800 - €4,300 per month
• 25 paid holidays per year (+ potential ADV days)
• Holiday allowance: 8.33% of gross annual salary (paid in May)
• Travel allowance: €0.23 per km for commuting
• Full relocation support
• Personal guidance throughout the relocation process
