Cost Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cost Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, cost analysis, and verification of project costs, including production processes and tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Receive project requirements, policies, and relevant information for cost estimation.
• Review and verify all information received to ensure that it is complete and sufficient for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare and analyze cost estimation data for various project stages and activities, including RFI (Request for Information), RFO (Request for Offer), Prototype, Event, Mass Production, Service Parts, Spare Parts, and EO (Engineering Order) / Modification.
• Review process information and concepts related to Die Stamping, Jig Assembly, Checking Fixture (C/F), and Testing for production and tooling cost calculations.
• Calculate production costs and tooling costs based on process concepts and engineering requirements.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of cost calculations at every stage.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to obtain necessary technical and cost information.
• Support the team in cost analysis and estimation activities as assigned.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related Engineering fields.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 0–3 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Estimation, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of Die Stamping, Jig, Checking Fixture (C/F), Tooling, and Testing processes will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to verify and analyze data accurately.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Able to communicate in English, with a minimum TOEIC score of 550 or equivalent.
• Able to use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and cost calculation.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced manufacturing / automotive environment.
