Cost Engineer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough analysis of production costs, including materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses associated with installation processes Identify cost drivers and variances to assess the overall cost efficiency and profitability of products and services.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for new products, projects, or services based on factors such as materials, labor rates, equipment depreciation, and overhead costs.
• Assist in the development of pricing strategies by providing insights into cost structures, market dynamics, and competitive benchmarks.
• Monitor and track actual costs against budgeted or estimated costs to identify discrepancies and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Implement cost control measures and process improvements to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses on cost performance, profitability margins, and budget variance for management review.
• Maintain and enhance costing systems, databases, and tools to support accurate cost calculations, data integrity, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls in cost accounting practices.
• Collaborate with departments such as accounting and finance, purchasing, production, and sales and marketing to gather relevant cost data, align cost management strategies, and support decision-making processes across the organization.
• Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement baseline.
• Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in Costing is advantage
• Exposure to cost engineering, planning and installation
• High attention to detail.
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and as an effective and proactive member of the team.
• Ability to motivate, manage, and develop people of all skill levels effectively.
• Great leadership and organizational skills.
• Superb project management skills.
• Highly skilled in documentations and developments.
