Cost Engineer

e are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Cost Engineer to manage project cost estimation, budgeting, cost control, and financial monitoring for construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project management, quantity surveying, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and cost forecasts for construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and tender documents to determine project costs.
• Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial progress reports.
• Evaluate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor, and other project-related costs.
• Review supplier quotations and subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with the procurement and project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support tender preparation, bid evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor variations, change orders, and their impact on project costs.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent budget overruns.
• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with project budgets and company procedures.
