WHY HANAB?
We are Hanab. For more than 150 years, we have been helping shape the progress of the Netherlands. With six divisions specialising in energy, technology and connectivity, we work together under the Hanab name. With a strong foundation in the Netherlands and an international reach, Hanab is the partner of choice in a world that is constantly evolving.
Sustainable energy is the future, and we are making that future a reality today. As a market leader in complex medium- and high-voltage systems, Hanab Energy Solutions is at the forefront of the energy transition. Through challenging projects across the entire energy sector, and backed by the strength of the Hanab group, you will make a real impact in driving the transition to sustainable energy. Together, we are building a sustainable future for generations today and tomorrow.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a High-Voltage Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for determining the cost price of multidisciplinary energy projects. You will analyse customer requirements, tender specifications and technical documentation, translating them into realistic and competitive cost estimates. You will work closely with the tender team and liaise with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Contract Management and QHSE.
Your responsibilities:
- Analysing complex tender requests and project documentation: You will gain a thorough understanding of multidisciplinary projects and translate them into clear, realistic cost estimates.
- Determining project costs: You will prepare cost calculations and ensure accurate alignment with the tender team.
- Coordinating with other departments: You will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Contract Management and QHSE to ensure that all cost aspects are accurately and comprehensively accounted for.
- Optimising the cost estimation process: You will contribute to the development, evaluation and continuous improvement of internal cost estimation procedures.
- Handing over projects to the project team: You will discuss your calculations with project managers, engineers and site supervisors, provide advice and help ensure a smooth project start.
- Learning from projects: You will visit projects under execution and analyse previous cost estimates and tenders to identify lessons for future bids.
- Working on projects ranging from €10K to over €100M: You will effortlessly switch between smaller-scale assignments and large, technically complex projects.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practical work.
- Experience with cost estimation processes is an advantage.
- A valid category B driving licence.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, analytical thinking, a results-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- A key role within a forward-thinking organisation that makes a meaningful contribution to society.
- Gross monthly salary: between €3,765,- and €6,500,- depending on your knowledge and experience.
- In addition to your gross monthly salary, an 18% flexible benefits budget, which you can receive as a gross cash payment, use to purchase additional leave, or combine both options.
- A fixed year-end bonus of 3.7% and a variable bonus scheme of up to 3%.
- An excellent pension scheme, with Hanab covering two-thirds of the pension contribution.
- Various collective discounts on insurance policies and subscriptions through Hanab.
- The opportunity to work partly from home.
- A public transport subscription offering unlimited second-class travel, including for private use.
- An exceptionally positive working atmosphere where you can be yourself.
