Cost Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Cost Estimator to join our team in Vicenza, Italy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a background in construction or infrastructure to contribute to the preparation of competitive and accurate cost estimates for complex projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse tender documents, technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracted works.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
• Identify cost risks, potential savings, and opportunities for optimisation.
• Collaborate with technical, procurement, engineering, and project management teams.
• Support tender preparation, budget development, and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain cost databases and update pricing information based on market trends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in cost estimation within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, labour rates, and subcontracting.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in Italian; knowledge of English is an advantage.
