Cost Manager (Construction Project)

Location: CP Axtra (HQ), Pattanakarn Road, Suan Luang, Bangkok

Responsibilities

• Prepare and establish project budgets and cost estimates for new stores and renovation projects using historical data, market trends, and material cost projections.

• Track and monitor project expenditures against approved budgets to ensure alignment with financial targets and approved investment plans.

• Provide accurate financial reports to senior management, including cost status, budget variances, risk assessments, and cost forecasts.

• Support procurement activities including contractor tendering, bid evaluation, vendor negotiations, and contract documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to optimize project resources and cost efficiency.

• Review change orders, variation claims, and cost impacts during project execution.

• Maintain cost databases and benchmark information for future project planning and budgeting.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality, schedule, and operational standards.

• Support investment proposal preparation and post-project cost analysis.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.

• Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) are preferred.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and data interpretation skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP, accounting, or cost management systems.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, construction finance, or project cost control.

• Knowledge of construction costing, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to speak, read, and write English effectively.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
