Costing and Estimation Engineer (Aerospace)

Responsibilities:-

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain technical and commercial inputs required for

quotations.

Prepare cost analyses and evaluate various "what-if" scenarios to support business decisions.

Support the Business Development team in reviewing and analysing customer RFPs and RFQs.

Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical

documentation.

Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within customer requirements.

Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on customer data and drawing packages.

Identify raw material specifications, hardware, tooling, surface treatments, and subcontract

requirements.

Generate internal RFQs for raw materials, bought-out parts, tooling, and subcontracted services.

Consolidate supplier quotations and ensure accurate cost inputs into company bid templates.

Review completed estimates for accuracy before submission to the Business Development Head.

Support bid/no-bid decisions through technical and commercial analysis.

Assist with data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Ensure timely completion of estimation activities while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Required Skills:-

Experience in Aerospace CNC Machining or a similar manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of RFQ and RFP management processes.

Knowledge of BOM structures and aerospace manufacturing documentation.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, CATIA models, and other

technical documents.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Advanced Excel skills will be an added advantage.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bellandur, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
