Costing Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Coordination of the Quote Review

• Complete a costing calculation (customer RFQ) within the time frame. Coordinate and review RFQ costing to ensure pricings are competitive and profitable.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and overhead associated with projects or products.
• Communicate with customers to understand their quotation and manufacturing needs and fulfil those customer requirements.
• Understand and clarify customer documentation and RFQ in kick-off meeting. Develop and maintain pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Proactive to seek cost saving opportunity internally and externally.
• To assist on quotation process and provide quotation on time manner and accuracy and support sales personal to confirm sales.
• Work closely with team member (Engineering & Purchsing), source for potential supplier and send RFQ to supplier.
• Quotation documentation filing for record purpose.
• To perform other duties or tasks as assigned
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and actively prospect for new business opportunities.
• Prepare pre-sales and post-sales technical support to clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and R & D teams to ensure solutions meet customer specification.

Customer Relations

• Identify sales opportunities and develop new prospect customers

• Handle customer complaints and work closely with customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction

  Job Requirements:

• Engineering Degree with minimum 3 years’ working experience in metal fabrication or equivalent field is required for this position.

• Strong in leadership & project management skills.

• Able to collaborate and work well with other functional team for business success.

• Good in problem solving, analytical skills.

• Preferable Mandarin speaking candidate (As need to liaise with mandarin speaking clients)
