Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic care to patients across various settings, including acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. The COTA will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to patients in various settings including geriatrics, pediatrics, and inpatient care.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress towards goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care strategies.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for therapy sessions.

Experience

• Previous experience in occupational therapy settings such as acute care, skilled nursing facilities, or clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and occupational health practices is a plus.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
• A valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
