Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor (Associate or Licensed) to join our mental health and behavioral care team. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments using diagnostic tools such as DSM-5 criteria to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Facilitate family and child counseling sessions to support holistic recovery and strengthen support systems.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to medical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, discharge planning, and community resources for optimal client outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to enhance clinical practices and contribute to evidence-based treatment approaches.

Requirements

• A current license or certification as an Associate or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy, behavioral health, or mental health counseling with diverse populations.
• Strong skills in crisis management, client assessment, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, CPT coding, and medical records management.
• Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with clients from varied cultural backgrounds in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
