**We’re Hiring | Cataract & Refractive Surgery Counsellor

Rohit Eye Hospital & Vyom Netralaya, Indore

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and result-oriented Patient Counsellor – Cataract & Refractive Surgery to join our growing ophthalmology team.

Key Responsibilities

* Counsel patients regarding cataract surgery, IOL options (Monofocal, Toric, Multifocal, EDOF), and advanced cataract procedures.

* Educate patients about vision correction procedures, including LASIK, Femto-LASIK, SMILE, and ICL/IPCL.

* Explain surgical procedures, expected outcomes, limitations, recovery, and financial aspects in simple, patient-friendly language.

* Assist patients in making informed decisions based on the treating surgeon’s recommendations.

* Coordinate preoperative investigations, surgery scheduling, financial counselling, and postoperative follow-ups.

* Maintain patient records, manage enquiries, and ensure timely follow-up with prospective surgical patients.

* Work closely with surgeons, optometrists, and the administrative team to deliver a seamless patient experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

* Experience: 1–3+ years in patient counselling, preferably in ophthalmology, cataract, LASIK, or refractive surgery.

* Education: Graduate in any discipline; optometry or healthcare background preferred.

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-handling skills.

* Proficiency in Hindi and English.

* Good understanding of patient counselling, follow-up management, and hospital coordination.

* Empathetic, confident, organised, and patient-centric approach.
