Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, assisting patients and visitors at the reception counter. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure smooth service delivery, support food-related activities if applicable, and contribute to a positive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the reception counter
• Assist with food preparation and serving in designated areas, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Manage daily food safety protocols, including cleanliness, storage, and hygiene practices
• Take orders accurately, upsell menu items or services to enhance patient experience and revenue opportunities
• Maintain organized records of transactions, appointments, or food supplies as needed
• Support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients or assisting with basic culinary tasks
• Manage time effectively to handle multiple duties efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation and handling
• Strong communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
• Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates familiarity with food preparation techniques
• Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor

Pay: £12.71 per hour
