Counter Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated counter staff to join our vibrant team. We are a family run and owned fish and chip shop based in Bolton. Established in 2014. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our chip shop, making it essential for you to possess strong hospitality skills and a passion for food.

Responsibilities

• Take and process customer orders accurately, providing recommendations when necessary.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and waiting areas.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
• Assist in training new staff members, fostering a supportive team environment.
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Support management in supervising daily operations and maintaining high service standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate team members effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
• Knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the dining experience.
