Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with food orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt service
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales transactions efficiently
• Prepare simple food items according to established standards, maintaining quality and presentation
• Manage customer food service orders, including taking payments, processing cash or card transactions, and providing change
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, counters, and equipment
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly while adhering to food safety regulations
• Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
• Ensure sanitation standards are met by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a hygienic environment
• Assist with retail sales transactions for grocery or convenience items as needed
• Support quick service operations by managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or food industry roles
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities seamlessly
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counts
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Previous retail or grocery store experience is a plus but not required
• Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
• Experience with food service customer order management systems is preferred

Pay: $15.92 - $30.00 per hour
