Counter Help

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and food, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional experience. This role involves working at the front counter, handling transactions, and assisting with food service in a quick-service or fast-food setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
• Operate the Toast POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling.
• Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area as per food safety regulations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given to customers.
• Support team members maintaining a clean environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation.
• Have knowledge of the products we sell in order to maximize the customer experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in quick-service or fast-food environments.
• Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
