Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Counter Help to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, manages food and retail sales transactions, and ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be key to creating a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and efficient service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer service within a fast-paced food industry setting.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their food orders or retail purchases in a timely manner
• Operate POS system clover for processing sales, cash handling, and refunds
• Prepare simple food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including sandwiches, snacks, or beverages
• Manage customer orders efficiently using food service customer order management techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing counters, equipment, and dining areas regularly
• Upsell menu items or retail products to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue
• Handle cash register operations accurately while processing cash transactions and providing correct change
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
• Follow sanitation protocols to uphold health standards and ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse clientele
• Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales totals accurately
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume hours
• Experience with retail sales transactions, upselling techniques, and food preparation processes
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with health regulations
