Counter Service Server

Job Summary
Wahoo's Fish Tacos is looking for Counter Service/Servers. In this position, you will be taking orders at the counter, running food and drinks, bussing tables, taking orders outside on the patio. Completing opening and closing sidework. It is hourly plus tips. The harder we work, the better Wahoo's Fish Tacos does, the better the income. The We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Service Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional customer service at our bustling food establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, food preparation, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry, develop sales skills, and work in a fast-paced café or quick service setting.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and sanitation guidelines
• Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including bussing tables and sanitizing work surfaces
• Ensure food safety standards are met through proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Assist with food prep, stocking supplies, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries promptly and courteously
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service delivery

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant environments preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience with cashiering, food handling, and sanitation standards in the food industry is desirable
• Background in retail math, grocery store operations, or serving roles can be advantageous
• Strong communication skills combined with basic math proficiency for cash handling and sales transactions
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

Pay: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour
