Because our Lead Installers serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, project managers, and builders, we are looking for candidates with the communication skills and professionalism needed to eventually develop into that leadership role.

Primary Duties

• Assist with the installation of countertops, sinks, shower systems, and related products at residential job sites
• Learn installation techniques and best practices from experienced Lead Installers
• Make basic on-site adjustments, such as cutting and leveling pieces to fit
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Inspect materials for accuracy and quality before leaving the shop (color, size, edge detail)
• Maintain a clean and organized job site before, during, and after installation
• Communicate professionally and courteously with homeowners, contractors, and coworkers
• Represent Innovative Surfaces with professionalism and respect at every job site
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment
• Support the Lead Installer with project preparation and completion
• Other duties assigned by the Lead Installer or Supervisor

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a reasonable driving record (no major infractions within the past 5 years)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (CDL not required)
• Must be able to lift 100+ lbs. on a regular basis. While most lifting and carrying activities are completed using a team lift (2 or more people), stone countertops are extremely heavy and must be carried and lifted at job sites. This may include navigating stairs, narrow doorways, hallways, and other obstacles.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable using hand and power tools (grinders, saws, etc.)
• Ability to read prints/shop drawings and follow written and verbal instructions
• Accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Consistently portray a professional image through appearance, communication, punctuality, and jobsite conduct.
• Positive, professional attitude with excellent communication skills
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Start time is 6:30 a.m. from our Altoona, WI location
• End times vary based on project schedules and jobsite conditions.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
