Coupa Functional Analyst (with application support experience)

We are looking for a driven IT professional to join our internal IT team. In this role, you will act as a core engine for our enterprise spend system, primarily focusing on Coupa (Expense, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Information Management, Contracts, Forms, and associated modules).

Your day-to-day will be split between operational support (handling L2 tickets, troubleshooting, and diagnosing root causes) or project delivery (system configurations and enhancements).

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Ticket Resolution (Support Function)

• Serve as a primary point of contact for L2 support, acting as a ticket resolution technician for Coupa-related issues.
• Handle multi-tasking across multiple ticket queues simultaneously, prioritizing effectively while working under pressure.
• Interface directly with business users to understand pain points, gather context, and translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Conduct rigorous investigations and root-cause analysis (RCA) for application bugs, workflow glitches, or integration errors, and deploy appropriate fixes.
• Perform system configuration updates, user access troubleshooting, and data maintenance within Coupa (Expenses, P2P, Supplier Information Management, and custom Forms).
• Document all technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and final resolutions comprehensively, maintaining a clean and accurate knowledge base.

2. Project Delivery & System Enhancements (Experienced)

• Collaborate with the broader IT and business teams to participate in Coupa project implementations, minor enhancements, and system upgrades.
• Execute system configurations and changes in accordance with defined business requirements and standard change management practices.
• Conduct testing, validating, and deploying new forms, workflows, or module features to optimize user experience and operational efficiency.

3. Continuous Learning & Growth

• Take ownership of self-paced technical training, online courses, and professional certifications related to Coupa and enterprise application management.
• Proactively identify system improvement opportunities and adopt best practices in application support and IT service management.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Financial Accounting, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or any related discipline.

• Experience Level: Candidates with a strong foundational understanding of enterprise systems are highly encouraged to apply, or professionals with up to 3 years of relevant IT support, systems analysis, or application configuration experience.

• Technical Aptitude:

  • Basic understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Expense management workflows, or vendor/supplier data structures is a strong advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with a logical approach to root-cause analysis, and systematic problem-solving.
  • ITIL & ITSM knowledge is a plus
