A New Zealand Couriers contractor is an independent business owner; professional business people running their own business, and operate on a 'Contract of Service' with New Zealand Couriers. You essentially own your own business but with the advantages of being paid on a set date, a starting base of customers, and our ongoing support from the industry professionals.

We have a number of opportunities for new contractors to apply for established runs in the Central Auckland region;

MT WELLINGTON / ELLERSLIE Area

Available from: March 2026

Average Daily KMs: 100KM

Average Daily Hours: 10 Hours

Anticipated Earnings: $102,000p.a.*

THREE KINGS/MT ROSKILL Area

Available from: Feb 2026

Average Daily KMs: 100KM

Average Daily Hours: 9 Hours

Anticipated Earnings: $98,000p.a.*

AUCKLAND CBD - COMMERCIAL BAY & BRITOMART Area

Available from: Feb 2026

Average Daily KMs: 120KM

Average Daily Hours: 11 Hours

Anticipated Earnings: $115,000p.a.*

Minimum requirements:

• Must have a clean credit history/credit score.
• Must have a clean criminal record and good past references
• Must have ability to personally service the run
• You will have an advantage if you have an electric van
• In-depth knowledge of what a contractor is and the difference between employee and contractor.

Applicants for this position need to be domiciled in New Zealand with the appropriate Visa or Permanent Residence before applying. Any appointment will be subject to a satisfactory credit and security check.
