Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight across designated routes.
• Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring the secure transportation of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with Hazmat regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each journey.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations, truck loading/unloading procedures, and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery status, or any incidents encountered on the road.

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving or freight transportation with knowledge of truck driving best practices.
• Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and managing logistics cargo handling processes.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety compliance requirements.
• Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques; experience with truck loading/unloading is preferred.
• Experience handling refrigerated trailers or specialized freight such as flatbed or tanker loads is advantageous.
• Strong driving skills with a clean record; ability to manage long hours on the road while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
