Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial van to deliver packages to residential and business addresses within designated routes
• Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, including heavy items requiring proper lifting techniques
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to confirm delivery details and resolve issues promptly
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation for each shipment
• Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including loading supplies or inventory management

Skills

• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices
• Proficiency in operating a van or similar-sized vehicle safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
• Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory handling and organization
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £29,000.00 per year
