About the role

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a dedicated and organised Courier/Dispatcher to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our courier and logistics services. As a Courier/Dispatcher, you will be the backbone of our delivery operations, coordinating shipments, managing routes, and maintaining communication between drivers, customers, and management. This role is essential to our mission of delivering excellent service and maintaining our reputation for reliability and professionalism.

What you'll be doing

1. Receiving, logging and processing incoming courier shipments and packages with accuracy and attention to detail
2. Assigning delivery routes to couriers and drivers based on destination, package weight, and delivery priorities
3. Monitoring the status of deliveries in real-time and updating customers on their shipment progress
4. Communicating effectively with drivers and couriers via radio, phone or mobile applications to provide route guidance and address delivery issues
5. Preparing delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery records
6. Responding to customer enquiries regarding delivery times, package locations, and special delivery requirements
7. Coordinating with logistics partners and third-party providers to ensure seamless service delivery
8. Maintaining accurate records of all shipments, deliveries, and customer interactions
9. Identifying and resolving delivery delays or issues promptly and professionally
10. Contributing to warehouse organisation and ensuring packages are stored safely and securely

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working in a courier, logistics or dispatch environment, or demonstrable experience in a customer-facing operational role
2. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deliveries and priorities simultaneously
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with drivers, customers and management
4. Proficiency with dispatch software, route management systems, and basic computer applications; training will be provided for company-specific systems
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing shipments, documentation, and record-keeping
6. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond calmly and effectively to delivery challenges or customer concerns
7. Valid driver's licence and willingness to occasionally assist with deliveries if required
8. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting operational targets
9. Knowledge of Metro Manila geography and traffic patterns is advantageous
10. Familiarity with tracking systems and shipment management processes is preferred
