CPU Physical Design Engineer

An established technology innovator is looking for an experienced ASIC Engineer to contribute to the development of high-performance, low-power IP (block/SoC) for next-generation products.

The position covers the full ASIC development lifecycle, from architecture and design through to verification and implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital and/or analog IP, ensuring performance, quality, and power requirements are met.
• Define architectures, circuit specifications, and simulations in line with system-level requirements.
• Work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to establish and align implementation strategies.
• Oversee the complete ASIC development flow, including high-level design, synthesis, layout, timing, and verification.
• Utilise industry-standard tools, such as RTL-to-GDS and Virtuoso, for advanced block/SoC or IC package design.
• Produce and review detailed technical documentation, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with 6+ years of ASIC experience.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 9+ years of experience in ASIC development.
• 3+ years of experience working with architecture and design tools, scripting languages, and verification methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience engaging with senior leadership.
