Cpu Software Engineer

Job Summary

2-10 years of Software Engineering or related experience. Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/Javascript. In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers. Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts. Strong problem solving skills - look at big picture and unorthodox ways to solve challenging performance problems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power.
• Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.
• Develops new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads across product segments
• Understands software workloads at next level (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluates optimization opportunities
• Collaborates with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams to implement solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.
