What they need
Registered Manager (CQC) – Domiciliary & Community Care
Click Together Ltd – Cambridge CB3 | Full-time, permanent | £32,000–£38,000 per year (depending on experience)
About us
Click Together is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider based in Castle Park, Cambridge. We deliver personal care, companionship and complex community support to over 40 private and council-commissioned clients across Cambridge. We are a vetted member of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Trusted Provider List, fully integrated with the SProc.net (adam) brokerage system, and growing — we are regularly offered more packages than we can currently take on. We also have private clients. Learn more at www.clicktogether.life.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a close-knit, growing service — not a desk job in a large branch. You’ll shape how the service runs and see the direct impact of your decisions on clients and carers.
The role
As Registered Manager you will hold CQC registration for our domiciliary service and lead its day-to-day operation and growth. You will:
- Hold registration with CQC and ensure the service meets all fundamental standards (Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulations), maintaining inspection readiness at all times
- Lead and develop the office team (care coordinator and senior carers) and a field team of 30+ carers
- Oversee rostering so every visit is allocated and rotas reach staff on time
- Lead initial assessments, care planning and reviews, including for clients with complex needs
- Own quality assurance: visit-note audits, spot checks, supervisions, medication competency, complaints handling and safeguarding
- Manage relationships with Cambridgeshire County Council commissioners, social workers and families
- Oversee safe recruitment, induction and training of care staff
- Monitor service KPIs (visit completion, responsiveness, client retention) and report to directors
- Share the on-call rota for out-of-hours escalations
What we’re looking for
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent, or near completion with Level 3/4 held)
- Minimum [2] years’ management experience in domiciliary or community-based care (essential — care home-only experience is not a match for this role)
- Experience as a CQC Registered Manager, or deputy ready to step up is an added advantage — you must be able to pass the CQC fit person interview
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and care planning for community settings
- Confident with rostering/care management software (we use Access) and comfortable building a data-led service
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS (we arrange and pay)
What we offer
- £32,000–£38,000 depending on experience, reviewed annually
- Real autonomy and direct access to directors — your improvements happen, without branch bureaucracy
- A service with genuine demand: commissioned referrals waiting and council backing for growth
- [28] days’ holiday including bank holidays, pension, mileage paid
- Funded CPD and support through CQC registration
Please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
Click Together is committed to safer recruitment: appointment is subject to enhanced DBS check, two references and CQC fit person requirements. We are an equal opportunities employer.
To apply: submit your CV with a short cover note describing a service improvement you led in a community care setting. Interviews arranged promptly for strong candidates.
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,100.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company events
- Free parking
- On-site parking
