About the Role

Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a motivated and experienced Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Coordinator to support and strengthen the organisation’s quality management systems, accreditation, compliance and continuous improvement activities.

The successful applicant will coordinate internal audits, analyse quality data, monitor improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to improve service delivery, organisational performance and safety. The role will also support accreditation processes, including RACGP, ISO and NDIS requirements, and promote a consistent approach to quality improvement across clinical, administrative and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support internal audits, accreditation activities and compliance with relevant regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain audit schedules, quality registers, policies, procedures and documentation systems.
  • Promote the use of Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycles to support continuous improvement across teams.
  • Analyse audit findings, identify trends and prepare reports and quality dashboards for the Quality Committee, Board and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Monitor corrective actions and follow up on audit recommendations to ensure improvements are implemented and effective.
  • Support clinical audits in collaboration with the Clinical Operations Team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training, guidance and support to employees on quality management systems, organisational procedures and continuous quality improvement practices.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Support the use of clinical data, performance indicators and reporting tools to improve service delivery and organisational outcomes.
  • Develop culturally appropriate feedback strategies that incorporate Aboriginal community input and support responsive service delivery.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in quality improvement, risk management, auditing or a related field, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be confident interpreting data, preparing reports, identifying improvement opportunities and developing practical solutions to enhance organisational effectiveness.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, support multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with staff and senior management. An understanding of the social, cultural and community considerations influencing healthcare delivery, particularly in remote Aboriginal communities, will be highly regarded.

  • Satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
  • Current Ochre Card clearance.
  • Acceptable vaccination status for working with vulnerable people in the Northern Territory.
  • Current right to work in Australia.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a clinician is desirable.
  • A Graduate Diploma beyond entry-to-practice in a relevant specialty area is desirable.
