CQV -Delta V Engineer

About the role

Join the on-site Cognizant Commissioning team, supporting our clients Execution Systems team. You’ll take automation work from specification through configuration, testing and qualification, working directly with the client and multiple vendors on a major expansion project.

What you’ll do

• Write functional specifications for recipes, phase sequences, equipment modules, control modules and HMI graphics, based on user requirements
• Configure and test recipes, phases, equipment modules, control logic and interlock schemes against design and test specifications
• Review design and test specifications with the client
• Execute Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) on site
• Support site commissioning activities
• Coordinate between vendors and between the on-site team and remote engineering offices

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a related field (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Technology Management)
• Strong DeltaV experience in a GMP environment
• Deep knowledge of S88 / DeltaV Batch
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
• Solid understanding of all project lifecycle phases
• Hands-on knowledge of installing and rebuilding control systems
• Confident liaising with clients on design issues
• Able to work independently, with excellent written and spoken English
