Crane Operator A

Roles& Responsibilities: Physical: Safety/Environmental:

• Qualification Guidelines:

• Job assignments may require a background check.

• Basic rigging skills.

• Education/Certifications:

• Validdriver license

• ValidNCCCO or NCCER Certification

• CDL license preferred

• Must hold a valid Medical Examiner Card

• Must comply with STARCON’s drug andalcohol policy.

• Able to pass physical examination, ifrequired.

• Able toclimb towers through ladder cages, climb stairways carrying 20lbs of tools and/ormaterials, work from scaffolding at elevated heights, work in towers andvessels, work in excavations, extended hours on your feet on un-even worksurfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel)

• Must be able to pass applicablesite-specific training. Knowledge ofrefinery and chemical plant hazards which may requirespecial precautions and PPE, such as Sulfuric, H2S and HF.

• Mustundertake the appropriate safety/environmental training commensurate with theposition and location.

• CPR and1st Aid training and certification, when required.

• Must be able to read and understandsafety instructions, signs, labels and permits in English.
