Barnett Southern is a trusted leader in heavy civil, marine, and energy construction projects across the country. We are looking for a skilled Crane Operator with proven experience in pile driving and precision lifting to join our growing team.

Essential Skills & Job Duties:

• Operate cranes to drive piles using different hammers and clamshell buckets
• Safely observe load rigging/hookup and ensure loads are within safety parameters
• Operate cranes in compliance with load charts, placing loads with fine tolerances
• Skillfully use pile hammers, extractors, and various bucket types
• Manipulate crane controls (pedals, levers, buttons) to regulate speed and direction smoothly and safely
• Utilize hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, or buckets as needed
• Maintain and clean crane and hoisting mechanisms regularly
• Operate additional construction equipment as required to support project needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience driving pile with different hammers and operating with clamshell buckets
• Current NCCCO LBC Certification required
• Friction crane operating experience preferred
• Strong commitment to safety and precision
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in demanding construction environments
