At PVS Structures, we fabricate complex structural steel components for commercial and industrial projects across the country — and our crane operators are essential to keeping that operation moving. We're hiring an Experienced Overhead Crane Operator for our weekend shift to unload trucks and rail cars, stage large structural steel beams, and support our fabrication team with safe, precise material handling.

This is a serious role for a serious operator. You'll be working with structural steel beams that can weigh thousands of pounds — and every lift matters. If you have the experience, the focus, and the safety mindset to handle it, we want to hear from you.

And yes — you work Friday through Sunday, 36 hours, and get paid for a full 40.

The Details

• Starting pay: $22.00–$25.00/hr depending on experience
• Hours: Friday–Sunday, 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Paid hours: 40 hrs/week — even though you only work 36
• Four weekdays off — Monday through Thursday are yours

What You'll Do

• Operate overhead cranes safely and precisely to move, position, and stage structural steel beams and components throughout the facility
• Unload trucks and rail cars — handling large, heavy structural steel members that can weigh several thousand pounds
• Stage steel beams and materials in designated areas to support fabrication workflow and production schedules
• Work closely with fabricators, welders, and supervisors to ensure materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there
• Perform daily crane inspections and report any maintenance needs or equipment issues immediately
• Follow all OSHA guidelines, company safety protocols, and lift procedures — every lift, every time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area around the crane and staging areas

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of overhead crane operation experience — structural steel or heavy fabrication environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to safely handle extremely heavy loads — you understand load dynamics, rigging, and weight distribution
• Comfortable working around structural steel beams weighing thousands of pounds — this is not a light-duty material handling role
• Strong spatial awareness and precision — you position material accurately and don't rush a lift
• Knowledge of OSHA crane safety regulations and safe rigging practices
• Reliable, safety-focused, and calm under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills — you work closely with the fabrication crew
• Available and committed to a consistent Friday–Sunday schedule
