Crane Rigger / Forklift operator

Duties

• Operate forklifts, give and receive hand signals in operation, unload and move materials safely and efficiently.
• Rig and secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques to ensure stability during lifting operations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before use to adhere to OSHA safety regulations and mechanical standards.
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments
• Support yard distribution activities by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets, and performing heavy lifting tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material movement, optimize space utilization, and uphold safety protocols during all operations.

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts, and other heavy machinery in a yard.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus, demonstrating the ability to oversee team activities effectively.
• Familiarity with construction sites or industrial environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly to various operational demands.
