Crawler Crane Operator

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate crawler cranes safely and efficiently in line with site schedules, lift plans, and supervisor instructions.
• Support crane setup, mobilisation, demobilisation, and deconstruction, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Inspect and maintain crane and lifting equipment, promptly reporting defects to prevent incidents.
• Communicate effectively with riggers, dogmen, supervisors, and team members, providing clear signals and updates on lifts or schedule changes.
• Lift, move, and position heavy materials, including precast panels, safely and in accordance with project requirements.
• Work collaboratively with clients and team members, representing the company professionally while completing other assigned duties as required.

What We’re Looking for:

• NZQA Qualified Crawler Crane Operator (3789, 30072, 27676) or International Equivalent Qualification/Experience preferred
• New Zealand Certificate in Crane Operation (Level 3 or 4) – desirable
• 2+ years of industry experience is preferable
• Able to travel for work as required
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and NZ health & safety regulations
• Full NZ Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements (Class 2 or 4, WTR) or valid Australian heavy vehicle license (with ability to transfer)
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and pre-employment medical
• Great attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Physically fit and able to work in varied environments
