Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including preschool activities, play-based learning, and creative arts projects
• Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety at all times in accordance with daycare center standards and childhood development best practices
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to support social skills, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions among children
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns with transparency and professionalism
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws
• Support children with diverse needs by implementing inclusive teaching strategies tailored to individual abilities, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, classroom management, child supervision, infant care, toddler care, and caregiving techniques

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching methods
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols
• Passion for nurturing children's growth through innovative teaching approaches and compassionate caregiving
