About the Role

Dance&Arts is expanding our network of creative and enthusiastic teachers in Birmingham.

We work with primary schools and other educational settings to provide fun, engaging clubs and activities for children. We are always looking to connect with talented teachers, performers, artists, coaches and creative professionals who enjoy working with children.

We are currently looking to hear from teachers and practitioners across a wide range of areas, including:

• Dance – all styles welcome
• Drama
• Singing & Musical Theatre
• Arts & Crafts
• Languages – Spanish, French, Italian and more
• Performing Arts & Creative Activities
• Movement, Sports & Fitness
• And many more

This is a great opportunity for creative professionals who are interested in delivering clubs, regular weekly sessions and occasional cover work in schools across Birmingham.

Responsibilities

Depending on your area of expertise, you may be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering fun, engaging and age-appropriate sessions for children
• Encouraging children's creativity, confidence and participation
• Managing groups of children positively and professionally
• Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment
• Adapting activities to suit different ages and abilities
• Communicating professionally with the Dance&Arts Admin Team
• Delivering sessions in line with Dance&Arts safeguarding and school requirements

Requirements

We are interested in hearing from applicants with experience or professional expertise in their chosen area.

Essential:

• Enhanced DBS check
• Relevant experience working with children
• Commitment and high reliability
• Confident and professional approach
• Ability to deliver engaging activities suitable for primary-aged children

Teaching qualifications are welcome but are not essential for every role, depending on the subject and experience.
